RUMBLE 2015!
Please join us for the Mayne SUPRASTUDIO final review as UCLA RUMBLE 2015!
The Now Institute will be presenting its work from both the Haiti Life Tree studio as well as our studio for the UCLA Grand Challenges initiative.
The Haiti Life Tree studio explores the development of an off-grid infrastructure unit to be place in Haiti’s most needy areas. This studio worked through extensive research to project and design development for a water filtration, energy supply and education center for an informal settlement in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti.
Grand Challenges connects UCLA faculty, students and supporters from all disciplines, working together to strategize how the city of Los Angeles can become 100% renewable energy, 100% locally sourced water by 2050. Students will present the conclusions of this first year’s work towards the initiative as well as an analysis and design study for LA’s Wilshire Boulevard.
