Morphosis / Grand Challenges Corporate Event
Last Friday, Morphosis Architects hosted a conversation among visionary thinkers within the LA community of urban sustainability as part of UCLA’s Grand Challenge. Thom Mayne presented the impressive work of The Now Institute’s Grand Challenges team to the speakers and guest. Caroline Choi, Vice President of Southern California Edison, Matthew Kahn, a UCLA professor of green economic policy, Erin McConahey of Arup, Matt Petersen, Chief Sustainability Office with the City of LA, and Li Wen, a director of design at Gensler all spoke and presented their work and ideas of sustainability in Los Angeles. Last, NOW director, Eui-Sung Yi, moderated a fruitful and passionate discussion amongst speakers and guests.
